Hi Mad skills, Go into www.flyfisherman.com click on fly tying archive and type in Yong special. You will get tying instructions and great pics. you can also tie this fly by winding your thread forward towards the eye of the hook ( Coates and Clark Summer Brown. ) then wind back towards the bend cutting the excess tag half way down the shaft then continue to wind towards the bend. this will help with a tapered look. ( do not wind further than the where the barb ends after flattening) twist the bobbin clockwise until the thread looks straight and tight this will round the thread for the segments. Wind the thread towards the eye again and make sure the segments are together( no gaps ) finish the head with black 8/0 unithread apply head cement. Midgeaholic

Hi mad skills, I have seen summer brown at wall-mart, and joann's. Most sewing center that sell materials or sewing supplies should have it. You will also find the cream( tan ) color you might need. midgeaholic
